FFS someone should pull their license before they kill even more people.

This was a slow speed grounding. Not a big deal on such a small craft.

But there's been a string of inceidents with this outfit. The Coast Guard should at least send a BOSO and review their training and procedures.

Sorry but, any grounding is a big deal especially one where the companies Captains ply the waters on a regular basis while carrying passengers. Groundings no matter how soft cause damage and do stress to a ships hull that may not show up for years but when it does it could be catastrophic.

When I was the Cox'n on a gate vessels we ran aground in Winter Harbour on a sandbar and thought nothing had happened to the ship because everything worked fine but, 2 days later we lost all power because the "no big deal" grounding had caused a minor crack in the bulkhead between the fresh water tank and the diesel tank allowing the water to contaminate the diesel.

So, the question becomes. Are the asshats running this companies boats incapable of reading a depth chart, using a depth sounder or are they just plain incompetent and I'll leave the answer up to you because I've already made my mind up?
