North Korea to set up its own time zone

North Korea says it will establish its own time zone next week by pulling back by 30 minutes its current standard time, a legacy of the Japanese colonial rule.

    70th year since liberation. ROTFL If that's liberation I'd hate to see what they consider slavery.

    Although, the time change thing makes sense given their leadership already exists in an alternate reality.

    Of all the nutty things NK has done, I think this is the least nutty. It was the time zone before the Japanese occupation so it's not like some party apparatchik came up with this out of thin air.

    Yep, it's not the time zones they should be worried about, it's the calendar! While the elite and the military might be living in the 20th century the rest of the population is stuck back somewhere in the middle ages....
