To the best of my knowledge Cuba has never done or been a state supporter of Terror. Revolution yes. Terror no.

Standing up to entrenched, well-connected, brutal, and murderous US corporate interests is pretty much equivalent to terrorism in the view of too many. I have no doubt that Fidel Castro is a murdering scumbag in his own right but he probably wasn't much worse than the lackeys of the Wall Street/Cosa Nostra bastards and monsters that preceded him in ruling Cuba. Cuba can't be forgiven though, ever. No matter how badly the dog has been beaten and brutalized, biting the hand of the rich master holding the whip remains the worst sin of all.

Nope. There were other reasons they got put on the list and most of them seem to have been for their bad attitude. :P

Here's a column I found that explains it better than I could and from what I can ascertain putting them on the list was always more about Cuba's attitude to US domestic and foreign policy than the actual export of terrorism.

If America gets more cozy with Cuba it's going to turn into the same commercialised shithole as every other Caribbean destination. :(

I was at Grenada and what the Cubans (and Russians) were doing there was terror. The Cubans have also been involved in training the Sandinistas, Red Brigades, Shining Path, and most currently they've been assisting Venezuela in supporting FARC which has been waging a terror war against Columbia and, to a lesser extent, against Panama.

Obama is revoking Cuba's listing on the Terror list but I haven't heard FA if the Cubans are actually going to stop supporting terror. :?

Bygones. time to move on. Fidel is gone, diplomacy seems to making some headway.

I'd be hard pressed to find a country that wasn't a state sponsor of terrorism if you stretch the definition enough.

Bart you forgot the ETA from Spain, and it's known about Iran NK connections.
