The first question that popped into my head before I opened the article was "did he deserve it?"

    Apparently...

Running with a knife and baseball bat towards somebody armed with a gun will never end well. 8O

Good job. Let the howling begin, but fuck em. When cops go bad I get down on them, but when they're just defending themselves I support them 100%.

If that kid was native, the cop is in for a rough ride.

Any cop who shoots somebody, no matter how justified, is in for a rough ride. It goes with the job, taking a life should always be subject to great scrutiny.

Yes, but not bullshit accusations of racism. Of course every shooting should be thoroughly investigated. But if the facts are as stated in the story, the guy should get a pat on the back for doing his job.

Cops have to deal with crys of racism, sexism, any-ism daily, 99.9% of it unfounded.

Like I said, it goes with the job. Everybody judges us, most have no clue about the facts in issue but that doesn't stop the Toronto Star, Globe and all the others who see the cops as the enemy from telling everybody how bad the cops are.

CBC had their comments section closed so it's a good indication of what sort of nonsense the usual cop-hating dick snot trolls were getting up to.
