There were loud oohs, aahs and congratulatory hugs as people some young, some old, a few in wheelchairs went around dozens of kiosks at the first Medical Marijuana and Hemp Expo at the Metro Convention Centre on Friday.

Yeah, but that's 3-4 months of work for one want, not including food,

There's much better things I can spend this money on, I'm sure.

3-4 months of work for a lousy vapourizer? Either you are under the child-slave labour category or you need to find a better vendor.

You probably know this but the best bong I ever used was a very simple design. Take a bucket water. Cut a 2 litre bottle of coke in half. A suitable burner, a thimble or a cut up female AV outlet and voila.

A better job would be a great idea except for the entire job market being pretty much made of Sales Associates and Gas Jockeys.

I asked for a raise the other day (because I haven't had one in 2 years) and I'm waiting to hear that they're letting me go, ;)

Also, I have been thinking of the DIY way, but man, I'm not elegant at all with things like that.

To be honest my glass pipe does my by good as long as what I've got isn't desert dry,

Have you thought about going to Uni? You seem smart and it would be right up your alley. Get an education and have a blast among like minded folk. Alberta no doubt has some assistance program if funds are low.

Marijuana is a lot like tattoos. They both really became 'mainstream' over the past decade, no matter what the over-50 crowd, Conservatives and Catholics think.

The over 50 crowd 8O were smoking dope long before you and your generation were even a gleam in your fathers eye.

I may be conservative, well over fifty and don't imbibe anymore, but, since i'm sick and fucking tired of paying outrageous taxes to inept politicians for everything under the sun, I say fuck it, make it legal, reduce my taxes, increase my pension and then tax the crap out of it to pay for all my perks.

Not like today they weren't. When I was teenager in the early 80s, pot was still pretty taboo. The attitude toward pot has changed since I was a teenager.

That all sounds fine to me.

I thought the 80s taboo over pot was more of a reaction to the 70s embrace of it. Every generation thinks the one before (and the one after them) was lame.

ROTFL and I'll bet you are still using the "I'll bet you thought Reefer Madness was a documentary" line.
