All guns aimed at Ignatieff

It is high summer. Parliament is in recess and television is in reruns. For a watchful media, though, there is no holiday; autumn is far away, yet it is open season on Michael Ignatieff.

So he's not Canada's Obama after all? Poor Liberals..I guess they'll have to find another leader, again.

Yet Michael Ignatieff remains an extraordinary person who hasn't failed at anything in life, who is now learning to be a professional politician. It takes time.

Harper lost his first election as the new CPC head and since then has failed to win any majority and the polls indicate he won't win another majority and might not win an election.

Feel free to keep Harper all you want.

Say what you like but members of the party had a voice in who runs the party.
The members of the your party didn't elect Iggy. The Bay Street Bankers did.

How can iggy promise to give voters a voice when his own party members don't get one.

No, the Liberal MPs and members all of who vote put aside partisan bickering and elected him. He was the number 2 man anyway and he was elected subsequently.

How the Liberal party elects its members is no business of yours anyway. You wouldn't vote Liberal if the only party they ran against were the anti-gun, pro-drug coalition of taliban, communists, and chinese overlord party.

    yeah..Just like policy is determined?
Wasn't that what the Vancouver convention was supposed to be about?

I guess members of the party arn't qualified to come up with policy. That's for the Toronto bankers, Quebec lawyers and party insiders.

You can say whatever you like but you just prove your tin-foil hat tendencies when you claim a cabal of Toronto bankers crowned him.

You hate the Libs so you are as willing to engage in bogus speculation as the Obama birthers and those claiming the Jews pulled off 9/11.

Every body knows it was Cobra command that crowned Iggy. He was seen out and about with the Baroness at a fund raising event.

    ROTFL

That's the funniest thing I've read in a long while.

    Terrible rhetoric:
Harper lost his first election as the new CPC head and since then has failed to win any majority and the polls indicate he won't win another majority and might not win an election.

Ok first off the conservatives never 'failed to win a majority', they in winning the election - twice. Meanwhile the Liberals lost seats - twice. Since they never won a majority it's hardly suprising or indicative of a 'change in the wind' that he won't win "another" one. That they 'might not win the election' is a general truisim that means nothing.

This is the future of information and news: uninformed blogger journalist-wannabies who understand the power of rhetoric even in the face of zero substance. Seriously: what does this story say? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Yet you missed this didn't you?

Op-eds have been part of newspaper since year dot.

BTW, my response was tailored for an anti-Liberal hack by pointing out Harpers failings (and failing to win a majority is considered a failure by a party that wants it so very badly).

He posted his opinion of Iggy and I posted one of Harper. You posted an opinion of my opinion and then bitched about the "future of journalism" as if op-eds were some new phenomenon like twitter. Even worse rhetoric.

Your whole reply here relies on the erronious assumption I was referring to op-ed pieces and not you and your rhetoric. Of course it's not so much an assumption but an attempt to re-direct away from what you know I was saying and hoping your fans will believe I've never heard of an op-ed piece. Nor did I 'btich'. I pointed out. 'Bitching' is what you do.
Anyways the real question, based on actual events and stats, should be not 'will the conservatives win', but rather 'how many seats will the Liberals lose time?'

    What does the story say?
Nothing. It's not news. It's advertisement.
It's a rallying call to the faithfull and a request for thm to be patient.
It also passes judgement on other pundit and tells the faithfull who to listen to and who not to.

It does tell me that the media love affair with Iggy and their push to crown him PM has failed.

Another Derby versus Ridenrain slugfest in which nothing is discussed, resolved or determined.

The article is interesting although it really says nothing of consequence and by the time our partisans are in full swing it no longer has any part of the discussion anyway.

Keep it up sunshine. Your are just crying about what you are doing and what you didn't call riden out for.

You ARE bitching. Your ENTIRE post is nothing but bitching plus I don't need to assume it. You said it in black and white.

This is the future of information and news: uninformed blogger journalist-wannabies who understand the power of rhetoric even in the face of zero substance. Seriously: what does this story say? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

** NEWS ** implies you were talking about the article that came from a newspaper. I am not a blogger nor a journalist wannabie, another term that shows you were referencing the newspaper article.

Your piece has zero substance, zero news, and zero credibility (as all your stuff does actually).

Its long on terribly bad rhetoric and hypocrisy though.
