The federal government made a last-ditch effort Sunday to persuade European politicians to vote against a ban on Canadian seal products.

I certainly won't support Europe on this one, but I think it's time we threw in the towel. The lousy publicity over a failing industry isn't worth the effort anymore.

Get bent. Sealers pay taxes, pull out all the stops.

I support the Inuit doing this but it's a media nightmare for seal population control. Shooting the seals would look to be more humane that clubbing them to death.

Harper should put the bootsto Europe over this crap.

Easy Response: No seal products? Okay, no oil, no timber, no wheat or no aluminium...take your pick, Fuckos.

It's not exactly an item that's growing in popularity, is it?

Cigarettes are a 'sunset' product, but they're still profitable. If Europeans demand seal products, that ought to be up to Europeans to decide, not the EU.
