Wow, the Canadian Gestapo is at it again.

An American busker Terry Lavelle, has has been playing his banjo outside the Charlotte Street Tim Hortons over the last 5 years.

It's amazing how Canadian customs and immigration will let people in from the Middle East with questionable backgrounds (The Millennium Bomber), which cause the United States to take a more aggressive attitude with regards to border protection between Canada and the United States (know formerly as the longest undefended border in the world), but a man that has frequented Canada over serval years, caused no problems, nor has been a public charge suddenly has to be tossed out of Canada.

Every day the Conservatives are in power, I feel more ashamed to be Canadian.

I can't stand Dion, hell I loath the man, but if I had to pick the lessor of two evils, I will vote Liberal.

Maybe he should try the legal route.

    BC is looking for buskers...

It seems sad that we still think of immigrants as outsiders when the system that is in place favours those who have money and contacts to properly navigate the immgration system. Many immigrants (who have not committed crimes) who need to come to a safer country with more opportunities are denied when they try the "legal" route.

    Like the AWOL soldiers?

Please AWOL soldiers are running away from their duty. They signed up for the military then turn yellow and run.

They take an oath to defend their country.

Yeah well... they caused no problems nor were they a public charge, whatever that means.

A public charge, means they didn't cost the Canadian taxpayer any money, such as court appointed lawyers, or expensive court cases which cost millions of Canadian tax dollars.

The fella in Nova Scotia left. No drawn out court case, no stupid refugee claim. No cost to the Canadian tax payer, respectful.

A public charge is bascially someone who comes to Canada to live off welfare, get free medical care without giving anything back to the country.

So all you need to stay in Canada is a good PR dept?
What about Laibar Singh? China's gangster, Yi Feng Wu?
Why have a screening at all when we can make it a CBC media game show?

Buskers and awol soldiers are a tip of the iceberg and not much of a problem.. its the illegal immigrants who are getting in through the back door and costing the Canadian tax payer millions.. the point is we don't need anymore immigrants esp from the middle east. and we don't need immigrants who can't support themselves. too many are coming here and going directly on social assistance.. its time to lock the piggy bank..
