He's just pissed his party is being torn to shreds in the ethics committee, and he feels he needs to puff up his chest with some more bluster.

Ya, it will be split right down the middle. Probably even more closer than the last election.

I wonder if we'll see a similar situation as in '79, the winning party having captured fewer votes total than the opposition...

If the Liberals MPs &senators could do their jobs, we wouldn't be doing this.

Come on you Liberal wimps. Dion says go!
    Fish or cut bait.

its funny how the media has cooked up this whole story that somehow the conservatives are going to force as election based just on that one little comment . it would be tough for them to even do this and they also passed that fixed election dates law as well .
so not sure they have any plans on forcing one rate away . it would really be up to the opposition to do this .

Harper has made it quite clear over the last few years that his party is willing and able to govern this country.

It is Dion and his gang of Liberal mps that was playing hooky and not participating

C'mon Mr. Harper........................ just do it.

It'll give the LPC an excuse to unceremoniously dump the biggest freakin anchor ever seen in Canadian Politics and the rest of Canada can have the pleasure of silence from the lunatic left, vice political double speak in "neither" official language.

That applies to Dion quite well. If he doesn't get his way, he refuses to vote.

Dion has been a shitty oposition leader.

Harper's been a shitty PM, playing fast and loose with what constitutes confidence. While I wish Dion would bring down the Conservatives, I'm glad he hasn't done so on any of the BS "confidence" matters Harper's dreamed up to try and enginee his own downfall. If Dion does grow a pair, I hope it's on a legitimate confidence vote that's in line with precident.
