"The Liberals have a deep structural problem, I can't believe how slow they've been to adapt to the new reality, that new reality is that you can't raise money from corporations anymore and second, you can't raise more than $1,100 a pop from individuals .

Looks like the Liberals in Canada need to start writing some checks and putting their own money behind their beliefs.

Basic fundiment of Liberalisn is that its always someone else who pays though.

If small donations from average people were votes, this is already decided.

Also, Conservatives are sometimes confusing official visits and fundraising events.

Let's see, the Tories are collecting over three times as much money as the Liberals from over three times as many donors and they can only barely manage to win a minority, and can't seem to get their poll numbers out of the 30s. You conservatives had better keep quiet about the Liberals' failings here because if you let them know about them, they might just fix them and it'll be another 13 years in opposition for you.

If the easy oil money would be redistributed more widely, not only the Green Party would have as many donors as the Conservatives, these two parties would become one.
