Snow could set winter record

Global warming?

Since November, nearly 150 centimetres of snow has fallen on the GTA. It is looking like this winter may break the all-time snowfall record of 207 centimetres, which dates to the winter of 1938-39.

Its a funny thing.

i would have no trouble to ask anyone to help me. Regardless if they were Canadian, American, from Alberta or Newfoundland... One thing I like about Toronto's snow plan is that the City will shovel seniors sidewalks if they can't do it themselves. Last year in Edmonton this 80 something old lady was trying to keep up and did have it shoveled but it wasn�t down to bare cement. Someone complained and the City fined her something like $150, and if she didn't get it cleared off. The City was going to send a crew out to do it and then charge her the crew time onto her taxes. She was a feisty old gal and fought it in court, but lost, she made the news and one of her neighbors came and done it for her.

I don't understand the snowshovel rules anyway...

Why isn't the sidewalk the city's problem? It is not like anybody put that sidewalk there, that was the city's doing... Be responsable, and take care of your citizens. They can clear the roads, so they can clear the sidewalks too.

Then you will absolutely thrilled when they replace that sidewalk and kick you taxes up to pay for it. No shit!
