MIRAMICHI, New Brunswick When a worn and tired looking Bison armoured vehicle rolls into the DEW Engineering and Development Limited facility, it's in for quite a face lift.

It's a Queen Mary on wheels.

Pretty much.........but then it's cross country performance is not as demanding as a tactical unit.

You've misunderstood the term "Queen Mary". It's Army slang used primarily by members of the field force.

At one point we called such vehicles charter boats.....(all the antennas).

They kept back a respectful distance, Charlie liked to prioritize fire on them. (M113's at that point.)

I've never heard of a M113 called a "charter boat".

No doubt! There seems much you never heard about.

The term was very common at the time. The command post versions array of antennas resembled all the deep sea fishing rods on a Florida charter boat---is my guess.

They seemed to attract a hail of mortar bombs.

 Wow. I never knew that was what a charter boat was like. Given the nature of slang terms and how troops use them, it wouldn't be unusual to come across terms that are unfamiliar. Like "Queen Mary", which you don't know, nor where it came from.

Since you're still smarting from that whole C7 thing, find anything to support your claim that I'm some kind of poser? It's been a couple weeks. Surely someone as connected as you can easily expose me.

Actually I had left that you and your alleged capable hands to ask around as to whether the CF had to round up the militia C7's or no.

Perhaps this is why we couldn't trust corporals with 1st lieutenants.

You made the claim, so you get to support it. I challenged it and posted the basis for my questioning of your claim. Stop dodging. Or fess up, but I don't think you can.

BTW, junior Officers aren't "under the eye" of Corporals.
Uh oh, your lack of real experience showed again.

lol, a lieutenant under the eye of a corporal? I wouldn't believe it. Even Chief Warrant Officers are technically under the command of even Second Lieutenants; although a good junior officer, hell any good officer, will listen to what his senior NCO's have to say.

He seems to think that flinging "Corporal" about is some kind of insult. It just points again to lack of real experience.

Probably thinks it is the lowest rank.
