For me it's one of those things that represents a degradation of culture for the sake of political correctness.

Merry Christmas folks.

I get real tired of the PC generic "Season's Greetings". It is Christmas.

Hmmm I wonder how many other holiday names should be changed so ppl don't get "offended"

We could call Easter "Chocolate egg and bunny day" since it's apparent that SOME in this country don't want anything remotely religious dirtying up their lives.

Victoria Day should be renamed the "May two-four weekend" so those that aren't from British background aren't offended.

Canada Day should be changed to "Nation Day" so as to not offend those same morons that don't want their litle darling(s) exposed to the National anthem in school.

And finally, Thanksgiving should be called, "That other holiday with turkey dinner"

Have a happy and safe Generic Holiday everyone [B-o]

Imo, it's Winterbreak (since it is in Winter and people/schools have more days off than just that one Christmas Day), Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and to the Jews, Happy Hanukkah, the Muslims Happy Ramadan, and everybody else who wishes me Happy Holidays can get it back just as easily. But for the last few days, I said Merry Christmas, and as of tomorrow, it will be Happy New Year.
Come Jan 2nd, done with the bs and fake happiness and on with life.

For official/professional purposes I always say something along the lines of "Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas" but forcing either is stupid. Either way, I'm glad a solid majority of Canadians prefer saying Merry Christmas. It's a tradition.

I am sure I mentioned this here before, but I can remember being disgusted a few years back when the Right Honourable PAul Martin was doing a photo op while shopping with his old lady for Christmas stuff, he picks up a wreath and some reported yells "Prime Minister, is that a Christmas wreath or a Holiday Wreath?" Martin went "uhhhh.....Guffaw guffaw...uhhhh....it's a Holiday Wreath".

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY FELLOW CANADIANS regardless of where the fuck you were born or what colour you are.
