Yes great idea dumbass. We cannot pay the bills as it is and you propose tax cuts? Well that's all fine and dandy but I would rather see our roads maintained, schools and hospitals open than a tax cut.

A 3% cut on Day One would've sufficed.
Too much. Too late.

"cut by 15%"

wtf does that mean? I have a feeling that his version of 15% is going to be alot different than our version 15%.

I wish more Americans think that way.

Pay two wars? Tax Cuts!
Pay welfare programs? Tax Cuts!

It is because we want everything, but we don't want to pay for it ourselves. I would like to see a tax cut freeze on EVERYTHING FUCKEN THING, property tax, corporate tax, income tax, sales tax, for at lest the next 10 years. Meaning what ever the tax level is right now we cannot lower it anymore for the next 10 years, raise it and then lower it back down to current levels sure. Lower it lower than current levels? not a chance in hell. We are in a big freaken hole right now and till our debt is gone, gone, not reduced, GONE, we shouldn't be lowering taxes or proposing more social programs.

I know, I drive the roads, attend the schools and unfortunately have been to the hospitals.

Maybe one day there will be a political party I can truly support instead of my "lesser of evils" approach I use now when voting

I don't think it will help him much, because income tax cuts are pretty invisible. $600 a year = $50 a month so 25 bucks a paycheck or so - nobody will notice. But your halfcaf nofat venti latte - people will notice the extra 20 cents they have to pay each time they buy it.

I'm not against the HST, I'm against how he brought it in, and will vote against it and any recall initiative in my riding (don't think there will be one). Campbell's got to go, he's too arrogant.

This tax cut is bullshit because the kitty's empty - that's why he brought in the HST. Jeez, if we get him scared enough maybe he'll offer no income taxes at all to try to stay in power.

I support HST and like the reduction to income tax, better tax to cut. I feel so many people who signed the HST petition don't know the basic facts, which is largely the governments fault for the way they rolled it out. But rolling it back or not going forward with it in spite is stupid.

But I do agree with KorbenDeck, we can't afford tax cuts with core services like education & healthcare in trouble and large deficits. And a tax cut freeze would be a good thing, that way politicians just trying to buy votes can't damage the budget long into the future after there short gain.

I wonder if he's grabbing at press and directly (or indirectly) attempting to occupy press with something new rather than have any more press on the Basi-Virk conviction?

There were talks about a inquiry to see how far the corruption may have gone and who was involved. When the press asked Gordon Campbell about this, he said any further inquiries would be a waste of taxpayers' money.

*BUZZ*

I smell smoke.
