Isn't it a no brainer he didn't get the horser back? Did he (if given the option) even want them back? :?

What kind of asshole are you to abandon 2 horses in the boof*cking middle of nowhere without food or shelter?

It seems to me that I read somewhere that this guy is a lawyer. No sooner were the horses rescued and he had the audacity to contact the rescuers with instructions as to where they could deliver his horses back to him!

lily lily:
Their "agenda" being the prevention of cruelty to animals?

if that was simply there agenda then id be fine but we all know its not just about that, its also about punishing the people who like eating animals and like wearing fur and harassing everyone who doesn't drink the PETA/SPCA coolaid.

Don't get me wrong it was wrong what he did but they are also wrong in using it the way they are.

I'll second that....let's see some proof of the SPCA pushing their agenda on this!

Kind of like the way they made the http://www.rescue100.com/ horses into a pro-peta campaign?

. . . oh, wait, that didn't happen did it?

Edit: Oh, and THIRD. Put up or shut up.

Not that i need to "prove" anything as its an opinion. but hmmm how about national media coverage on the lawsuit. Initiated by the SPCA, don't have the press release handy but will try to find it.

Can some one explain why the SPCA kills the animals after a certain time as it gets to costly to feed them, house them etc?... So instead of giving a kid a puppy for free that's at the end of the line they just kill it instead if someone wont pay 300 bucks for the animal . seems kinda weird to me.

My comment was more aimed at a Peta mentality. Oh right and its an opinion if you don't like it TOUGH SHIT!! move along, see that was simple. Welcome to Canada and to free speech.

As I've stated before, opinions are like assholes.....everyone has one.
Some people just have to prove theirs is bigger.

Ever since I started this whole debate stuff on the internet thing, I noticed something.

If some entity in an article has a 'hidden agenda' it's usually just revealing the posters inner biases. Sid believes these groups have a hidden agenda, so he sees it.

The facts be damned!

Because you are quite wrong. That isn't what happens, nor why.

Edmonton Humane Society Edmonton Humane Society:

Euthanasia after an arbitrary amount of time or because there is no
longer any room for additional animals is one of the reasons that
the “No-Kill” language evolved. We are proud to say that any
animal can stay in our Edmonton Humane Society shelter for as
long as they need. We have NO TIME LIMITS! As long as the
animal remains stable and healthy in our care, it will remain
available for adoption. Because we spend so much time working
with animals through our enrichment and behavior programs, they
spend less time in the kennel and move quickly to our adoption
program. They are then fortunate enough to find loving,
responsible homes through our dedicated staff and detailed
adoption process.

Which animals are euthanized at the
Edmonton Humane Society?

We have a dedicated shelter veterinarian on site and several
trained staff members that help assess and work with every animal
that enters our facility.

The only animals that are euthanized at our open admission shelter
are those animals who are deemed as Unhealthy & Untreatable

One of the most controversial questions the Edmonton
Humane Society gets asked:

Is the Edmonton Humane Society
a “NO-KILL” shelter?
Answering this question with only one word, is confusing
and often misleading to the public.
The goal of this brochure is to offer an explanation of the
“No Kill” phrase, as well as explain how the Edmonton
Humane Society operates without placing time limits on our
adoptable animals’ lives.

What does “NO-KILL”
actually mean?

We have a recognized medical and behavioral assessment that
dogs and cats must complete before being approved for
adoption.
