I have completely lost interest in all these polls, no matter what happens I am voting for the conservatives. They are propably not going to win in my riding because people here are idiots, but the fact still remains I am not going to change my vote. I really dont know why they do all these retarded polls every 2-3 days. :x

Yep...and it does NOT translate into seat predictions. And don't underestimate voter anger if a snap election is called - that can cause shifts.

Winning the popular vote doesn't mean the party will win more seats. As a posted an article from the National Post last night, the liberals are already planning to lose the popular vote but try and take more seats.

Yea I tend to do that when it’s cold and raining, I also like to limit my time online. As everyone knows, sometimes if your on here to long, an individual can make themselves look like a complete idiot by the end of the day.

I think because of Harpers strong stance on soverienty in Canada's artic, will win him alot of votes.

Then again, you just have to look at the other candidates to see they have no serious contendors. What whimpy Dion. ROTFL ROTFL

Dion agrees to meet Harper Monday

The Canadian Press

August 31, 2008 at 10:43 AM EDT

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper will meet with his Liberal rival Stéphane Dion in a Labour Day showdown that will almost certainly precede an election.

Mr. Harper's spokesman says the afternoon meeting will take place Monday at the Prime Minister's residence at 24 Sussex Drive.

The Prime Minister has met with other opposition leaders ostensibly to determine if there was common ground to avoid autumn election that all parties want.

Meetings with NDP Leader Jack Layton and the Bloc's Gilles Duceppe have so far followed a similar script: the opposition leaders emerged to say Mr. Harper is intent on breaking his promise not to dissolve Parliament before October 2009 and the prime minister's spokesman emerge to insist the opposition is intent on paralyzing Parliament.

Duceppe says Harper's mind is set

Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe emerged from a meeting with Stephen Harper on Friday to say the Prime Minister is intent on calling a fall election

Mr. Dion will sit down with the prime minister despite asserting that he had no time in his schedule before September 9th. Government officials have said Mr. Harper is prepared to call an election any time after Tuesday.

More to come

That's because the other opposition leaders are meeting and the Libs are worried that the NDP is going to eat their lunch. Even if the NDP and Bloc say the meeting was a sham, they don't know that deals weren't made and they look good for trying.

Since most of the disfunction problems are because of Liberal senate or Liberal dominated kangaroo comitties, It looks more obvious if Dion refuses to meet to try to make things work.

Besides, flip flops are nothing new to Dion.

Did Dion reject a meeting with Harper?
Did Dion then change his mind and choose to meet with Harper?

It's not like we're saying that Dion once rejected a carbon tax, then brought one out as his own..but he did. :D
