While I see your point I disagree. The mere fact that the church was at the headline shows intent to tie him to a church. These people know that 90% of people don't read much past the headline and this was a subtle attempt to tie him to a church. I stand by that and had he been muslim and killed in the name of Allah then by all means let the people here have at him.
I stated that the media is who avoids putting any relationship to Muslim or Islam with any one that perpetrates a crime in the name of Islam. This guy didn't kill in the name of Christianity but the HEADLINE said ACUSSED KILLER WORLS AT WINNEPEG CHURCH.
If they didn't want to be offensive they could have reworked the headline and included in the story that he once worked at the Church.
They don't make headlines when Muslims do that they avoid telling it in the story all together if they can.
If you don't know of or see a bias against Christians in the media then you are either liking it and oblivious to it or you just choose to ignore it and not call it as it is.
When Nicholas Berg was beheaded they didn't make mention of the fact that these insurgents were Muslims. Outrage demanded that they do so and they finally capitulated and mentioned it. If the video hadn't of come out on the website and the killers been screaming ALLAH! then they still would have avoided it.

Nowhere in that article did they do anything they don't do for any of the shootings and killings before. Whether its Kimveer Gill where they went out of their way to detail his vampirefreaks connection (which several people on this very forum laid the blame directly on) or any of mass shootings.
They always mention where the perpetrator worked and interview his boss and collegues. If he worked in a hat factory you wouldn't be crying about it now would you?
They always report details about the perpetrators working life because quite often thats where alot of the facts come from. Always.
When Nick Berg was beheaded the headlines screamed the muslim connections so you are either completely ignorant of the facts ot completely dishonest.
If this man were a muslim or simply worked in a mosgue then you would have been freaking out about "muzzies" just like some people have attacked all "immigrants" as if good ole white bread home grown Canadaians never acted like this. I guess Clifford Olsen became a muslim immigrant the moment he started killing boys.
You are being very idiotic witt your moronic belief that the church was somehow involved simply because you feel the media should have had 6 or 7 disclaimer sentences absolving the church and your religion from all perceived guilt.
You are delibertatly forcing a connection where there is none. They interviewed Tims boss and talked about his work even more often. Is that saying that carny folk or all just victims in waiting?
They did absolutely nothing wrong in the way they reported it. Nothing. Not a thing. It is simply impossible for any reasonable person to even begin to believe that the reporters were somehow blaming the church he worked at and/or religion in general.
Like I said before, if you hadn't have open up your mouth and posted this nonsense then I doubt few people if any would be thinking the church was to blame and I bet the few who did only did so because they themselves blame all blacks, or all muslims, or all immigrants for any transgression of any of there memebers.
