llama66 llama66:
I feel that you don't understand that most guns are smuggled into Canada. Further, an AK is a Prohibited weapon, they are illegal in Canada to begin with.
Different animal, a registry is different than a law. Or he had it smuggled into to Canada. And generally when you buy black market, you don't get a receipt.
AK's generally are not made in Canada, they are made in countries where your vaunted registry would be useless.
I know where guns come from.
You claim crime guns are smuggled into Canada from a place with gun lax gun laws. Is that supposed to be your argument in favour of lax gun laws?
It’s actually not been proven where the majority of crime guns come from but regardless of what proportion of crime guns are smuggled vs being “lost” by so-called “responsible gun owners” in Canada doesn’t matter. Lax gun control means more guns in the hands of criminals.
I’m also aware that the AK is a prohibited weapon. You’re the one who brought up the AK so don’t try to lecture me for your example. The point still stands: someone legally bought the AK then sold it to a criminal and got away with it because if lax gun laws.
