Mamma mia! Didn't think they'd give him much more than a slap on the hand.

Good. I was on that ship, with that captain, two years prior to this. I often wonder if he did the same thing while me and my wife were on board.

I just want to add one thing. They say that a crew reflects their captains leadership and this crew certainly did when we were aboard. The crew did nothing to enforce any of the rules aboard the ship. When asked to do their job you were often met with a shrug of the shoulders that clearly meant they wouldn't. The lifeboat drills they ran were the most clusterfucked mess I've ever seen anywhere. No crew member even attempted to gain any sort of order, which led me to head back to my room. I knew where my lifeboat station was and just couldn't put up with the sheer chaos that was supposed to be an orderly drill.

16 years. So does that mean 16 years or 18 months with time off for good behavior?

Interesting. Lisa and I cruise on Princess almost every year and the crews are nothing but awesome.

Both Princess and Costa are owned by Carnival. I wonder why the differences?

I blame the more "European" attitude on Costa's. I should mention that of all the people we met on board the polite ones were, Canadian, American, British and German. The rest acted like spoiled little children, especially the eastern Europeans.

They called that divider between the civilized and the other kind of folks the Wog Line for a reason.

If you didn't wear your kilt so often, maybe the stewards wouldn't chase you around like that.

Oh cute... the knuckle walking cave dweller is trying to be cute. Don't you have a realm to lose to the German TFW(Temporary Foreign Warriors) you hired? Oh sorry, you little southern fairies already did that.
