Shaming is a corrective social measure to stop people from being obnoxious and hurtful to others. Bullying is merely sadism. Bullies, for example, should be subject to shaming to make them stop what they're doing. Maybe it's subjective, but society has gotten noticeably worse since aberrant and destructive behaviour was no longer subjected to shaming.

Discipline does not require shame.

I find it extremely intriguing how society constantly tries to justify ridiculousness to itself.

We are currently telling our children that if you bully it is bad, but if I bully, it is reasoned and has value.

Crazy how people who know no shame will try to use it for their own ends like you just did by calling the use of shame ridiculous. That is an act of shaming and you used it for a form of discipline!

Now behave or I'll spank you! XD
