Total co-incidence! Just like all the other times the crime rate fell after CC was implemented.

This story is BS. The crime rste in Chicago haw been declining for years and a quick google reveals that in 2013 it fell at astounding rates as well.

And since we know criminals rob and murder people that they KNOW have guns, such as other drug dealers, does it really make sense that they've given up crime because they're worried some people MIGHT have a gun? You really think these street criminals follow up on legislative developments and then make conservative risk assessments?

Youth delinquency rates would probably plummet if we brought back spankings, discipline, morals, ethics and rules.

Lets try that first, shall we? Then maybe we wouldn't need guns.

Not that I don't believe you, but let's try that "quick Google" thing you suggest.

Here's the first three results I get.

Chicago under fire: Murders rising despite decline in overall crime

Chicago murder rate far worse than during Al Capone 'gangland' days

10 Reasons Chicago's Murder Rate May Rise in 2013

So according to the OP the Homicide rate was at a 46 year low, but in 2012 they were saying...

$1:
The figures are startling. Through the end of June, the number of murders in Chicago was up 37 percent over the same period last year, even as crime overall declined.

Stats can be tricky though. Get some more. Go into detail. Let's see what you come up with.
