I was scanning down the news update list to see what the other media had to say about this.

Scanning quick this is what I saw of the Globe and Mail headline.

An exploding whale update; Ontario election...

Cracked me up, but it turns out there's a little more to it.

Wow, some choices we got here. We have one candidate who couldn't win an election if he was the only one running. We have another candidate who thinks we're all blind and deaf morons with no memory of the last 12 years. And then there's the NDP.

It looks like on June 12, I'll be spoiling my ballot yet again. Only this time, I'm going to do something to symbolize the lack of palatable choices, like wipe my ass with it.

$1:
The premier's visit to the lieutenant-governor's office Friday averted scheduled gas plant committee appearances next week by prominent Liberals Monique Smith, who led Wynne's transition team, and Laura Miller, a senior aide to former premier Dalton McGuinty whose boyfriend was allegedly given access to government hard drives.

Gee, do you think the budget was introduced precisely to cause an election now,

to escape this ?

Perhaps.

They may be able to kick dirt over it, but they're not escaping it. They're guilty as friggin' sin and anyone with half a wit can see it. People here still bitch about Bob Rae (the NDP has yet to recover from him) and Mike Harris (the PC's have yet to recover from him) how many years later?

"McGuinty" and "Wynne" are going to be four letter words here for quite some time. Hopefully so will "Liberal".

This government has gone way past its sell-by date. I thought that Horvath's rationale for pulling the plug on it was laughable, though. She claims that three are to many give-away goodies in the budget. Coming from the NDP, who's stock in trade is give-away goodies, ...

Tim Hudak, "Mr. Personality" is also full of nonsense. He's going to create "a million jobs" and cut spending at the same time. Yeah. Right. Build it and they will come, he thinks. He should take a good hard look around the Western world and realize that those million manufacturing jobs that he wants back have all gone to China, Vietnam and Mexico. Perhaps he will lower the minimum wage in Ontario to $0.76/hour so that we can compete with them. Maybe that IS the plan. He'll create a million new jobs but they will all have to share the same pot of wages that is being generated now.

Anyway, change is in the air but as was pointed out, the choices are truly dismal, this time.
