I just can't understand anyone who thinks Trudeau would be good for Canada. The man has the depth of a soap dish and the IQ of a small rock. His foray into foreign affairs would be laughable with none of our allies taking him seriously.
The reality is that contrary to what we're told it doesn't take a genius to be either a politician or a minister or a prime minister. It does not matter much now , nor has it it in the past nor will it count for much in the future who is in power or is Prime Minister. Politicians are a sub class of people that our society has vomited forth to do one job, and that job is nothing much. Sit in the house of common and ritually denounce the other party/ies because you're supposed to , deflect meaningful questions while answering the questions you wish you had actually been asked. Have you staff tell the bureaucracy what you want to do and them sit, wait then start it all over again.
and them every 4 or 5 years trot out some fear, meaningless 'victories" with either new or reduced programs and then try to get elected by a populace who more often than not doesn't vote for the best person but the person whom they think will at least do the least amount of damage
If people actually believe in a party, any party then more fools them. Because as history has shown than any political party will do anything to stay in power, that's what drives them.
