As for the stain in SC, going by the Jared Loughner/James Holmes look in his eyes I'd say he's ...one third genuine hate-filled racist.
This may initially sound a bit of twisted logic but bear with me:
The same lack of empathy that Dylan Roof so amply demonstrated more or less precludes him from being an actual racist with a hateful and racist state of mind. Yes, he can get very angry, but he has to have empathy to be a bigot and his comments that these were 'nice people' he killed indicates he made a very cold and logical decision and not an emotional decision.
I doubt he has the capacity for the emotion that would be required to hate.
He just made a coldly logical decision and is completely lacking the human empathy that would allow him to 'feel' the pain and heartache he's inflicted on so many people.
I say this because where his emotional state and his sanity will be in question in a death penalty case I don't want to see him escape justice for what I see as a very cold and deliberate act.
He's no different than Timothy McVeigh and should be dealt with the same exact way! Shame on elements of the Right who said this was an attack on Christianity it was an act of Domestic Terrorism.

There's talk that he was a user of stolen pharmaceuticals but no evidence yet that he was some kind of lifelong Ritalin-kid that finally snapped. Until it's further clarified I'd say it's more a case of mental illness aggravated by illegal drug use than mental illness caused by prescription drug use.
If you think racial hatred is a mental illness, then OK. Seems you have touch yourself with your TNB. Not the only one here, of course.

Dylann Roof appeared via video before the chief magistrate of Charleston County, who set his bond at $1 million US. Roof wore a jail jumpsuit and was handcuffed, and spoke only to answer questions. When asked his age, he told the judge he was 21. He also told the judge he was unemployed.
Before the judge delivered his bond ruling, he asked representatives from the families of the victims to deliver statements to the court. While some of the families declined, others stood and spoke powerful words of forgiveness to Roof, who has been charged with nine counts of murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
"You took something very precious away from me. I will never talk to her again. I will never get to hold her again," said the daughter of Ethel Lee Lance, a 70-year-old mother, grandmother and great-grandmother killed in Wednesday night's shootings.
Heard a brother and sister who lost their mother on the radio. Said they forgive the shooter. Maybe these people really are Christian. Could teach other "Christians" a lot.
Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza? Lexapro and Celexa. Red-headed Aurora killer James Holmes? Clonazepam and sertraline. Virginia Tech mass murderer Seung-Hui Cho? Prozac. Charles Whitman, the “Texas Tower Sniper”? Dexedrine. Columbine executioners Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold? Zoloft and Luvox.
You get the idea. These young men were all on prescribed medication. Feminism helped to get them there. In particular, female teachers who either dislike men or are completely ignorant of healthy behaviour norms for boys are creating a generation of emotionally stunted, drugged up young men.
Millions of young American men are prescribed powerful drugs after being diagnosed with the phantom condition “ADHD,” better known as a mixture of natural boisterousness and poor parental discipline. The mere fact of being male has become pathologised.
When they get into their teens and early twenties, they graduate onto drugs like Zoloft and Prozac, drugs that can produce a powerfully dissociative effect in the mind, muddying the distinctions between reality and fantasy. All this, because boys are now treated as though they are defective girls.
I once clumsily wrote that video games helped to “shape the fantasies” of Isla Vista gunman Elliot Rodgers. I intended not to incriminate video games in his spiral into madness and murder but rather to point out that young men who lose grip on the real world often retreat into imaginary ones, which can then have a stylistic effect, if you like, on their crimes.
After a year of reading the research on what America is doing to its men, and interviewing hundreds of young men in preparation for my book on the GamerGate controversy, I have come to believe that in most cases it’s not games, or movies, or “misogyny,” or “racism” that drives young men to kill. It is the increasing sense of isolation and disorientation young boys feel in a world that now feels architected against them.
Dylann Roof’s actions are unlikely to have been primarily motivated by race, even though he may have identified as a white supremacist. For one thing, half his Facebook friends were black. Similarly, Elliot Rodgers wasn’t a misogynist in any meaningful sense of the word. What these terrible crimes express more clearly is a crisis in masculinity – a crisis brought about by the way we treat boys in schools.
Men, in particular introverts, and especially highly intelligent introverts who sit near the top of the autistic spectrum, are routinely ridiculed in society, cast out as “manbabies” and “privileged oppressors.” The lived experience of such men is precisely the opposite of privilege: they are punished for being boys at school, branded “creeps” or, worse, rapists for showing sexual interest at college, and after all that – assuming they even graduate – they are discriminated against in job applications.
If “Dylann” “Storm” “Roof” deserves ridicule for anything, it’s his ridiculous name and that 1990s lesbian pudding-bowl haircut, not the fact that he is a man struggling to find his place in an increasingly feminised culture. What was his mother thinking?
Namby-pamby culture in schools is partly to blame for the current crisis in manhood. Teachers, who are overwhelmingly female, freak out at boyish things like play-fighting, cops and robbers and even playing “finger guns.” At best, this is silly over-policing of natural male exuberance. At worst, it is holding boys to feminine standards of behaviour. It’s not hard to understand why some boys, after enduring this for a decade, finally snap in a tragic violent outburst...

Medicating boys to make them more manageable for feminist public school teachers is a sacred cow of the left that you're not allowed to criticize.

No no, it's true. And jihadis are just frustrated because all the women they know wear bags and they're not allowed to drink.

No. Jihadis are perfectly sane. They're following the rules laid out in their Murder manual called the Qu'ran. They're bad people, but they're good Muslims.
As to the possibility of some weak minded individuals being prescribed psychotropic drugs as part of a more general, cultural, pussification process, and these drugs leading them to destructive behavior, I wasn't that sure about that one.
But now that I see how excited you two are getting against it, I think they're might be something to it.

We can probably find some strong evidence that they all watched Saturday morning cartoons and put milk in their cereal as well, since we are all trying to determine a connection. Fucking 2nd ammendment apologists will never quit. It's so cut and dry to the rest of the world. You are not fooling anyone. In any given selection of the population, some people are just not fit to carry deadly weapons and for that reason it needs to be a qualified privilege, not a right, just like driving a vehicle.

I agree with the Scientologists that counseling and therapy are what's best for helping people deal with mental illness
Yeah....they work wonders with sociopaths, psychopaths and schizophrenics.....not
You need drugs and therapy. You'd be surprised at how many "psychotic" patients (i.e. Cognitive disorders/ delusional such as schizophrenia) are functioning members of society.
The drugs keep the brain chemistry in balance. The therapy keeps the patient on the drugs and moderates any underlying issues that may be contributing such as traumatic experiences

Because the Left in the United States doesn't want to offend Muslims so they turn a blindeye to the truth that the Fort Hood Shooting was an act of Domestic Terrorism.
