Such a telling response, Gunnair. Now, have you considered the Status of Women programme and Kairos? As just a couple of examples.

I don't want to be a bitch or something, but what does that have to do with the British PM asking around if they can please change the succession law for Will and Kate's kids?

I don't want to be a bitch or something, but what does that have to do with the British PM asking around if they can please change the succession law for Will and Kate's kids? Nothing. Next he'll be complaining about the Jets losing streak as yet another example of how evil the Harper Conservatives are.

Harper being a mysogynist? $1: mi·sog·y·nis·tic (m-sj-nstk) also mi·sog·y·nous (-sj-ns) adj. Of or characterized by a hatred of women. Stick to claiming to know something about climate science because you apparently have little clue about what a misogynist is if that's what you use for examples.

Your great respect for the other sex, Gunnair, allows to dismiss those examples.
It has nothing to do with the Monarchy, Brenda. It does have to do with my surprise that Harper could accept female succession.
But then, it is one more political move by Harper is it not since, not long ago, this was his position:
“The successor to the throne [Prince Charles] is a man,” said Mr. Harper. “The next successor to the throne [Prince William] is a man. I don’t think Canadians want to open a debate on the monarchy or constitutional matters at this time. That’s our position, and I just don’t see that as a priority for Canadians right now at all.”
British commentators expressed their disappointment in Harper at the time. They wanted Canada's support.

It does. I generally give little credence (beyond the obvious humour factor)to the political temper tantrums and partisan playground tirades offered by any idiot of the far left or far right. Any obviously pathetic attempt to equate that Harper is a woman hater simply because he won't throw bags of cash at your pet projects of the week demonstrates the depths of political immaturity you are wallowing in, friend. Please, call out for a rope if you need one.. or don't. I care not, really.

nope...he generally calls out for more paint after he's painted himself into a corner, as Dr. Caleb pointed out.

lizaC lizaC: IS QUEEN ELIZABETH JEWISH? It is hard to believe that official and national figures we honor most of all can be very secretive. But, unfortunately, people are being deceived a lot. The mystery of the Jewish descendents is discussed secretly in the ruling circles. Did you ever question why the wedding of the world of Kate Middleton and Prince William was set on Friday? Was it anyhow connected with sanctity of Saturday that Jewish people observe? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvxkyQAIqN8 Here is the real joke Shep... Listen up chump, we all know Wilie and Kate were married on Friday because they are secret Muslims. When Willie becomes King, he will convert all us white folk over to Islam, then we can get them Joooooooooooooooos real good. Bombs away !!!!

British royal weddings of stature are held on weekdays so the plebs can attend. They make it a 'bank holiday' so everybody is off. Those Jews don't half get unexpected hatred. Makes me wanna ditch the RC thing and become a Jew. I'm just not that into religion though.
