Actually the police state is more a communist thing, so I can understand your enthusiasm.

I dont get it?

Maybe I am getting old and maybe I becoming more Liberal (f*&k I hope not), but I have seen the cops search people unlawfully and confiscate swim goggles and other innocent items without a proper explanation or reference to the criminal code.

On the other hand it is hard to get bent out of shape with what the police are doing when a small group has taken it upon themselves to be destructive, not just towards the police but to honest hard working people who still need to earn a living.

If they were concerned about freedom they should chain themselves to that monstrosity of a fence, then people might actually listen.

I am glad that they attempted to have a safe protest area too bad others would rather cause violence than allow the right to free speech and freedom of assembly happen peacefully

Hey cock sucker maybe you shouldn't comment on things you have no idea about. Then again if that was the case, you'd have fuck all to say bout anything, including your own parentage.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
CDN_PATRIOT CDN_PATRIOT:
If Fantino was still Chief, we could have had martial law, and these bastards in black would be shot and beaten and then thrown in jail, if they survive.

But....we have Bill Blair, who is a nice guy, and a big pussy wearing a cop's uniform. Until he grows a pair, these anarchists will have free reign, destroying more of our beautiful city.

I'm with Shep. Shoot these fuckers down, NOW.

WHOOP WHOOP LONG LIVE THE POLICE STATE WHOOP WHOOP

So, let me get this straight. You think that police stopping "Self proclaimed anarchists" from burning cop cars and destroying a few Starbucks and smashing windows of private business is us having a police state? These are not political protesters, they are not trying to solve anything, they have called themselves anarchists so they can be acting like a bunch of assholes. They cover themselves due to cowardice, true "protesters" wouldn't want to hide their identity, these do just to be able to break the law and damage property and make it harder for law enforcement to prosecute them. Don't mistake this violence with true political protest, they are not targeting government or have even said what they're protesting. This is nothing more than senseless violence by a bunch of shitheads.

Police states come in many shapes, sizes, and ideologies.

Cambodia, USSR, Nazi Germany, The Deep South USA after reconstruction, Apartheid South Africa, Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Imperial Japan, Chile under Pinochet, Nicaragua, Islamic Iran, Libya, Singapore, PRC, etc etc...

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Again I keep hearing this but in reality, the anarchist movement is significantly
stronger than people realize in Canada. If these people believe in nothing, why do
we see Anarchist shit everywhere? Do you understand Anarchy? It's a bit more than
burning buildings. I'm not Anarchist, but it's the same fight.

I disagree that the Anarchists are all part of a conspiracy of punks. I agree that the
youth probably add some fun flair, but someone had to teach them why their life sucks.

I feel gunning down protesters would be on our front pages if it happened in Iran.

Anarchy?...A rebel without a clue. Their lives suck cause they allow it to be so. They have given up and blame everyone else for their woes. Anarchy is for those who do not wish to take personal responsibility for their own condition, "it's the systems fault". Anarchy is not a political movement, it's not even a true ideology.
$1:
The Oxford Companion to Philosophy says, "there is no single defining position that all anarchists hold, and those considered anarchists at best share a certain family resemblance."

I saw an anarchist last weekend downtown. He asked me some change and had holes in his forearms.
