I can't fathom using an old phone. Once it hits about two years I start looking at upgrading, I use my phone for too much to let it slow down that much

To each their own - everyone has their own priorities, and makes purchasing decisions based on that.

For the cost of a new phone, I can afford airfare to Asia or Europe - that's my decision.
