I agree, although this story is UK in origin the problem is easily translatable to our country.

They must adapt to our country.

However your assement of them is in error. They are undergoing "modernization" but unlike when we did they are undergoing it under full TV coverage.

Imagine if we went through the 50s and 60s with a more powerful nation telling us what to do every step of the way.

What matters most is that we let them adapt at their time frame in their own lands.

When we go to their countries (not that I ever will) we adapt to their culture.

I worked with a women while in her teens lived in Saudi Arabia during the 70's,
For westerners own safety they lived in an armed compound,
She never left the compound without a male escort
She wore the cloths that she was expected to wear
She left her christian symbols at home
She never spoke to a man without being addressed by a man first
She never drove a vehicle

Now..

They come to our countries and want us to adapt to them.

You don't have to be Muslim to find "sniffer dogs" repugnant. To many they are viewed as sheep dogs. I know myself how much I enjoy being treated like a common sheep by some flea bag and his/her handler with the IQ of a twinkie or marginally better. Makes me feel safer knowing the fox is guarding the hen house.

I have served oferseas in Afghanistan and let me say that the dogs do and invaluable service. To much can be hidden under the robes of men and woman. Secondly if they do not want the dogs to sniff them then maybe they should not have started this fight with the rest of the world!!!!!

I recall an underground booklet that circulated in the defence industry about making booze in muslim countries.
It makes you wonder how big of a success places like Bahrain or Quatar are going to be as muslim amusement parks? I know that in their waterparks, they have womans days where the entire staff are replaced by women and everybody still has to wear the traditional crap. Oo-wee what fun.

No the dog part is true. They don't think of animals as pets like we do. Thats perfectly OK though. Whats not OK is them bypassing all security on religious reasons.

We should deny them entry on security reasons if they won't agree to our conditions. We aren't forcing them to come to our county are we?

So let me get this straight, I (a white Canadian male) have to endure getting my nuts sniffed by a German Shepard, electronically stripped searched and have all my baby formula for my 1 1/2 year old thrown away while the Muslim guy next to me gets to cruise through security. WTF? They're the ones bombing planes and I'm the one who gets punished for it. Am I the only person who thinks this is a little backwards?

Or toothpaste,like a guys going to storm the cockpit and brush the pilots teeth for him.

I used to hate the one lighter rule so would pack lighters in all my luggage.
Then they found my buddy had a 6 pack of bics in his bag and pulled him off the plane.Nothing like going to the arctic and they only being allowed a single lighter.
