The SUN should just stop trying to be a newspaper. They should be a sports magazine with a Marmaduke comic.

Whose readership is higher? The Sun "(Conservative)or the Herald (Liberal)
Which one grows and which one is sinking? People are tired of reading and seeing constant Liberal bias in the media. I wanted to burn the Herald everytime I picked that trash up. So I made it a point to never buy it and supported my views by buying the sun. Which is a little too much like an advertising section with a little news, but at least I could read it without wanting to &%*&@#! the nearest Liberal to me. :)

Stereotypical Albertian, want's to be American so, so bad... but the U.S. only wants the oil, not the rednecks living there.

Good thing you turned off your rep.

How about telling us where this supposed "liberal media" is hiding? Seems to me all I ever see on the Net, in the newstands and on TV is more neo-con blabbering about it. And the only mag I know people got tired of and shut down was Der Sturmer, oh sorry, I mean Alberta/Western Report.

Record losses of all US giants like LA Slimes, NY Slimes, Chicago Tribune, CNN. Most Liberal bastions (95% of all types of media are failing) Scare America had to steal funds from the boys and girls clubs of America to stay afloat, while conservative talk radio is raking in millions. The conservative radio shows and blogs are profitable. Your Liberal stuff isn't, so I guess the people speak with their dollars and viewership and readership. The Sun is booming and the Herald is in decline. Face it, people are more conservative than you like.

Actually, newspapers of all kinds are in decline. It's not just 'liberal' media. It actually has nothing to do with politics but with the shift to online advertising. Companies are spending less money to get more online, as opposed to newspapers, which can charge tens of thousands of dollars for a single one page ad.

Frankly your argument of liberal media is an old tired one.

There is no cabal of commies running the NY Times or anything else. Newspapers generally their audience wants, not what they do. Otherwise, they lose business...just like any company that does what they want and not what their customers want. Ford Motors is a classic example. Henry Ford once said "customers can have any colour of Model T they want, as long as it's black." That stupid comment spawned companies that specifically offered cars in other colours. That's why the NY Slimes as you call them are more left leaning, because New York itself is. Likewise, the papers in rural America are more conservative.

BTW, nice job on the quoting...
