I think the point being made is that this is a horrible story about child abuse. Some are trying to make it a story about Muslims! Sure, Muslims did this one but other religions are not free from blemishes. The story is about abuse by Muslims but unless Muslims in general condone it, the religion is no more to blame than abuse by Catholic, Anglican or secular people who have been involved in the sexual exploitation of others.

Grooming gangs are a big problem in the UK. 5% of the British population is moslem, yet over 90% of grooming gangs are Pakistani or Pakistani decent and yes they are moslem. It is a racial thing because these Pakistani perpetrators are targeting mostly white girls. I recall one grooming gang being convicted several months ago being white and non-moslem, nor do you hear about Middle Eastern or Northern African moslems taking part in such crimes. And yes in the UK "Asian" does denote someone from Pakistan/India region of the globe and most predominantly Pakistani moslem.

It is both about moslems and it is about the political class preferring to tolerate rampant sexual abuse of children for nigh on a decade rather than confront the crime and the criminals because the criminals happen to be moslem. The politicians and the police correctly anticipated the PC crowd braying 'RACISM!!!" at the mention of the fact that 100% of the child molesters are moslem and Pakistani.

The fact of the degenerate attitude of moslems towards European women and girls, is so well documented that it's indisputable.

Granted, a good number of moslems in Europe are somewhat assimilated, but the ones who live in cloistered ghettoes and who attend moslem-only schools are going to be expected to behave as they do in the old country. This should not be a surprise.

Xerxes mentioning the problems of rapes in India is interesting.

Last week I read an article on that. I lay no claims to widespread veracity. I can't even remember where I saw it. It's only interesting to make a point.

They were saying that one of the problems involving rapes in India was, believe it or not, outside toilets. Apparently many of the assaults occurred on trips outside to the toilet.

There was a call to do something about that.

So let's assume that's true for a sec. Absent political correctness an observation was made of a fact with a cultural cause. Once noticed it could be remedied.

You can't fix a problem if you're not allowed to notice the cause.

It adds to the problem true. The newly installed PM ran on expanding indoor plumbing and it's a win-win issue.

But there problem is largely cultural. I was reading a little while ago (I'll link it later, it's annoying to do on my iphone) about how there was a village in India where some guy was being an asshole to everyone and instead of calling the police the village elders got together and decreed that the local asshole's sister was to be raped to teach him a lesson.

There is an important cultural issue here. In a similar instance--not nearly as horrific as this one--it was revealed in court that the perpetrators deliberately targeted non-Muslim girls because they were immoral. It's a cultural issue because of reports that authorities feared identifying perpetrators because they didn' want to be seen as racist.

It's an issue of racism all right, because these girls were targeted for being white trash. I'd be very surpised if any of teh victims were Muslims.

No argument. There's not excuse what these guys did.

But in Canada, instead making the issue that these guys were Muslim, the greater outrage would be directed at the authorities. Apparently the police, as i've quoted twice here already, also saw the girls as trash. Implied in your statement is the idea that in Pakistan there is no sexual slavery, grooming or abuse of young girls, since they are all Muslim. I very much doubt that.

What this article should focus on, since the perps are already dealt with, is the failure of the authorities. Heads should be rolling here, they would be in Canada.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. In Canada and the US, if you target someone for certain crimes (usually violent crimes) based on their race or religion, there is an extra social sanction in the from of the so-called hate laws.
