Well if you really want to know I think the attacks on the WTC were just as justifiable as the war in Iraq. Mind you the attacks on the WTC killed 3000 people while 3000 Americans have died in Iraq while hundreds of thousands of others have been killed and more wounded, displaced or harmed.

Both mindless wastes of life.

9/11 was an Act of Terrorism to kill as many innocent civilians as possible, the Iraq War was a result of 9/11 to try and bring some kind of democracy to the Middle East because something had to change..

The WMD's, the World's Intelligence Agencies including the United States believed Saddam had WMD's because he lead the World to believe that especially Iran as he feared another War with them and the WMD's kept them at bay..

So President Bush went into Iraq for that reason and trying to bring a democracy to the region even though Lefties like yourself were content with Saddam's brutal dictatorship because it wasn't your problem which is the usual Lefty selfish attitude..

The main cause for the loss of life in Iraq are Terrorists just as 9/11 but in both cases you don't blame them you blame the United States because that Anti-American blood boils as it runs through your veins..

In the end, you'll spin what I said to justify your defending Terrorism because after all Natives in Eastern Canada are guilty of Acts of Terrorism so why should defending Islamic Jihadists be any different for you?

Why should it be we have only a western view? Over the years the western powers did a hell of a lot more nasty things to the Arabs than they did to us. In fact the reason we are having trouble now is revenge for what has happened over the past several decades. I don't like the terrorists anymore than anyone else, but face it, over the past fifty years, America has treated the Arab world with little respect and the assistance the provided was for self serving purposes.
Paybacks are hell. The current conservative administration has been the worst, they provided the lightning rod that rallied the middle eastern crazies.
The Bush Administration has got what it deserved over all, as they installed God knows how many dictators into power in those countries, Including Saddam in Iraq.
The silliest thing is Saddam was operating a government that was secular, and without the terror organizations that exist there now.
When America leaves they will install the Suni Tribe that ruled before the war and within six months the Baath Party will again be in control, that is after the civil war that will come first.
No I do not support terrorism, but I don't support the west either, this whole thing was started by right wing conservative christians in the white house and now we are all paying the price.

I would think that most people should be happy that western liberal ideals(small 'l' and includes most moderate conservatives) are going to find an outlet in Arab media.

These people are going where they will have the best chance to promote democratic ideals to the oppressed Muslim masses....I think there is great opportunity here to subvert Islamic teachings...
