Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Tricks Tricks:
Brazil is an excellent country to know about on the world stage.
And Canada isn't?
It is, but probably not as much as Brazil.
$1:
I don't knwo these F'N schools you people are going too, because I've been to around seven.
Normal public school.
$1:
Anyway, my Grade 10 Class. They were handed maps of Canada. And the side were the names of the provinces and name of the capitals. Everyday we'd do those fucking maps. For about 4 weeks. Why? Because people
were still fucking it all up. We did the same thing with the states though... but there was no way my teacher was going to wait for us all to perfect that,

.
Well that's different. The people at your school are just morons. We never did it for the states.
$1:
Then I should have moved to Ontario then!
The curriculum in Ontario is good, it's just the boards of ed suck.
$1:
The Sovietd isn't to my liking,

Perhaps because it was obviously absolutely terrifying.
Learn about Lenin then. It's not as terrifying.
$1:
Wtf. Yes. These are my "Core Classes":
Science, Social Studies, Phys. Ed., Math, Language Arts.
We didn't have to take science past grade 10, but then it was broken down into physics, chem, and bio. Take what you need depending on what you want to do in university.
Social studies, well geography was mandatory in grade 9, history mandatory grade 10. The rest was optional, and it split off more. Phys. Ed. was only mandatory grade 9. Math was mandatory up until 11. Language arts, I assume you mean english, was mandatory all four years, and French only 9.
$1:
Then you get 3 "spares" for "extras". There is NO politics class. No history class. NOTHING.
That's balls.
$1:
There was one class that was slightly "Canadian". "Legal Studies". Followed Law. It was pretty good. mind you, the most boring class ever. And sadly, You are only allowed to take Legal Studies once in your 3 "high school years" (10-12). Which I did in Gr. 10. Went to court. Won a mock trial case as a crown lawyer. It was all very fun for me because I'm a bore.
Legal studies is just called law.

What is will all the studies, and language arts and shit. Call it was it is. Math, law, English. So simple.

$1:
Then there is French class (which is being downsized semester after semester). Currently the French class is so small that there are about 10 students in the entire high school (10, 11, 12) sitting in one classroom being taught at once.
ROTFL
$1:
Then there is Japanese (very VERY popular, especially with all the kids obsessed with like, Narato or whatever that fad is), Art, "Comm. Tech.", Band, Mechanics, and "Learning Strategies". That's all.
Narato? That's why they are learning it? LOL I'm not sure if we had Japanese. I doubt it.
Art, music drama, have to take one in grade 9, that's it. Comm tech? What the hell is that? A computer science class?
Band? Music.
Mechanics? Auto or Construction?
Learning strategies? What in fucks name is that? Man they call it some weird ass shit.
$1:
And, to cut it all off.... Comm. Tech. is being cut out because of "lack of interest".
What is it?
$1:
There are two teams for the school though... Football is the Vikings, Volleyball is the Chinooks... No cheerleaders.
Basketball? Rugby? Soccer? Baseball? Hockey? Nothing?
NO CHEERLEADERS!? FUCK!

$1:
Out of the 4 major high schools in the town, mine is the most "academically oriented". The biggest school is focused only on "Trades". Another is a ghetto school which a lot of insane stories come from, and the last one is Catholic, based heavily on religious studies.
ROTFL
$1:
So I agree with you, Albertan schools SUCK! But my school does have something to be proud of! "Safest Largest School Library in Southern Alberta". It's got metal detectors that go off at the wrong times...
You're school has metal detectors?

$1:
Not as much as I'd like to learn,

What could you possible want to learn that you can't learn in that amount of time. Fuck knowing all that off by heart is pretty much useless, that's why there is books on the subject.
