Some of these ideas seem pretty good, but the cap and trade system was a proven failure in europe.
Yea it's not all roses and some of the goals are definitely reaching a bit, but it is moving in the right direction for sure.
The US economy currently hinges on the price of oil. Ancient technology. I'm stoked to see what people can come up with for viable alternatives.

I like how obama is opening it up to the market. doing it that way will ensure the best results and technology. still not a big fan of the guy however. strengthening the dollar should be a priority for him aswell-its one of the main factors of the increase in the price of oil.

Does anyone here think there could be civil unrest by blacks if Obama does not get elected??
I have a dear friend who is supporting Barak the Beloved - just because he is black. She is not an isolated case. I see it in many black churches, I see it in many parts of the black community. If the race is close and any hint of misdeeds is even suggested, I expect that resulting riots will make riots of the past look tame. My dad stated the other day that the Obamas have set race relations back 60 years. I think he is right, or maybe it is just that the failure of progress has been exposed.

I dunno about you, but I find some parallels with American and Communist idealogy...Mainly the concept of oneness and unity...
Right wing propaganda.. he is a communist, perverted, muslim, fake christian and not really black according the those right wing, redneck, anti everything, supposedly born again, bible thumping screw every one in the name of Jesus, fundamentalists.
Is this Michelle Obama, must be Michelle? You sound like an angry black women.

...and why do you think the Canadian dollar is so high. We have a perto-dollar.
If the Alberta Oil sands take a hit, so does our dollar. All those nice U.S. items you go shopping for across the border, now will cost 50% more.

IMO there should have been more civil unrest after the 2000 election and after the revelations of Abu Gharib and after the revelations of the treatment of detainees at Guantanomo Bay and I could go on...
